Spring

Local volunteers have helped to add Spring colour to the area by planting bulbs on Hollins Green and Glazebrook Village Greens and in front of The Community Hall (pictured).
In 2011 Lanes Landscape donated daffodils, which were also planted by volunteers along the A57 and at the entrance to Hollinfare Cemetery in Hollins Green.

Summer

Being a predominantly rural farming area harvesting is a regular late summer or early autumn spectacle around Rixton-with-Glazebrook.

Autumn

Pre-school children and parents helped enhance the Pre-school outdoor play area (at the rear of The Community Hall) by sponsoring and planting shrubs.

Winter

In December 2009 and January 2010 Rixton-with-Glazebrook was a magical scene.  Locals gathered on Glazebrook village green for carol singing and with roads blocked villagers turned their minds to building igloos and snowmen around Hollins Green village.
